Dr. Shengyun Li is a Harvard-trained interventional pain specialist and board-certified neurologist dedicated to helping patients manage complex neurological disorders, overcome pain, and restore quality of life.

He earned his MD from Capital Medical University in Beijing, China, completing the elite seven-year clinical program, followed by a PhD in Neuroscience from King’s College London with a full scholarship, where his research advanced the understanding of brain function and neurological diseases. He then completed his Adult Neurology Residency and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at George Washington University and went on to train as a Pain Medicine Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

In addition to managing a wide range of neurological conditions, Dr. Li specializes in treating diverse painful conditions, including headache, back and neck pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and spine- or joint-related disorders. He is highly skilled in advanced minimally invasive procedures such as Botox, epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, joint and sacroiliac injections, minimally invasive decompression, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, and vertebral augmentation. His expertise also extends to neurophysiology, with advanced training in EEG and EMG.

Guided by the belief that effective care requires both science and compassion, Dr. Li emphasizes a comprehensive, individualized treatment approach—combining cutting-edge interventions with patient education, medical management, and rehabilitation strategies.
